This cable detection and testing device, consisting of a tone generator and a probe (cable detector), is a very practical aid for cable installation and troubleshooting.
The probe tests for continuity and assignment or determines line polarity and voltage for network / telephone cables.
The Tone Generator sends a signal to the connected line, the probe searches for the corresponding line at the other end; indication both by LED and acoustically.
The probe (cable locator) has a special inductive plastic tip to prevent unintentional short circuits in the vicinity of high voltage equipment
The Tone Generator can send single tone and multiple tone signals

PoE check - the PoE Finder allows the newtork administrator to find out if a network cable is supplied via PoE. Just plug in the network cable that has to be tested. The LED of the PoE finder will shine if the cable is supplied with power.
